Balance Blood Pressure Monitor 0604 ReviewsAs part of a self assessment that I did before starting my new home fitness routine, I bought the Balance Blood Pressure Monitor and discovered that I was Stage 1, borderline Stage 2, hypertensive. In other words, I was campaigning to have a stroke and was on pace to get elected if I hadn’t found out in time. If you’re looking for reviews on it, here’s one to help you decide if this is the right model for you.

What Comes with the Balance Blood Pressure Monitor

It comes with the monitor that is about 5 inches wide and 5.75 inches long. There is also a wall plug, 4 AAA batteries so you can use it without the plug, an upper arm cuff, a storage case, and an instruction manual.

Is the Balance Blood Pressure Monitor Easy to Use?

It’s ridiculously easy to use.

I’ve never used a blood pressure monitor before. The closest I’ve come to using one was when I was a little kid playing doctor and I would wrap a sweatband around my bicep and squeeze a tennis ball to mimic using one.

Ironically, the main reason I chose the BPM by Balance was because it looks so simple to use, almost like a child’s toy.

The readout is huge so its legible even if you have poor eyesight.

The words “Sys” and “Dia” are spelled out to the side of the digital screen, meaning Systolic and Diastolic, respectively. To the right of those words is a switch for two users to be remembered.

Under that are up and down buttons for scrolling through past readings.

And finally, below that is a huge, green, Start/Stop button.

As soon as I took it out of the box, I instantly knew how to operate it just from what I learned by watching healthcare professionals take my blood pressure.

You pretty much just wrap the cuff around your bicep with the strip lined up with your Bronchial artery, and press start.

Side note: The only challenge I had was figuring out where to find the Bronchial artery. There was a picture in the instruction manual that showed its location, but I didn’t see it because I didn’t read the instructions at first. (Typical male. I know.) I found the Bronchial artery by doing a Google search.

This Blood Pressure Monitor is Bluetooth Enabled

Having a BPM that’s compatible with Bluetooth is beneficial because it allows you to save and track your results from your smart phone if you download the app.

It’s not a necessary feature unless you have stage 1 or stage 2 hypertension. If you’re just buying a blood pressure monitor for safety measures, you can get by without this feature.

It doesn’t hurt to have it though, and I recommend you do.

Should I Buy It?

Yes. It does everything you need and connects to your cell phone via Bluetooth. What more can you ask? This is where to buy a Balance blood pressure monitor.

Buy yours, know your status, and feel free to leave me a comment below. I’d love to know how your progress is coming along. I hope the review helped.

  1. Hi LaShaun,

I haven’t been looking for a blood pressure monitor but after an incident I recently had I think I need to start considering on buying one. This monitor sounds simple to use. Your explanation of the use of the monitor is easy to understand. And the price is very reasonable. I would probably need some help with the Bluetooth (I don’t know how to use Bluetooth) but this would not quite be necessary at the moment.

This review is simply easy to understand and well written. Thank you for sharing this post.

    1. Thanks, Rosa. Yes, it’s better to have it before you actually need it because by the time you need it, your health is compromised.

  2. I purchased this unit and had it checked at my doctor’s office. It read 5 pts high on the systolic and 10 pts high on the diastolic. While it is easy to use, it is pretty inaccurate.

    1. Well, that is certainly good to know. It might not take the place of going to the doctor, but having a blood pressure monitor at home is still good because it gives you an idea of what your blood pressure is. I’ll see if I can find a better one with better accuracy and do a review on that. Thanks, Dennis.
